Talking Bees Roadshow buzzes into another year!

📣 PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

AUSTIN, TX — The Healthy Hive Foundation, founded by Mikaila Ulmer, creator of Me & the Bees Lemonade, is continuing its statewide expansion of bee education and environmental programming through its signature “Talking Bees Roadshow” initiative, now strengthened by its fourth consecutive year of funding from H-E-B’s Our Texas, Our Future program.

This continued investment marks a major milestone for the organization and fuels the growth of its multi-platform approach to pollinator education, combining live community experiences, school-based garden programs, and strategic partnerships across Texas.

The Talking Bees Roadshow, delivered in partnership with certified master beekeeper Konrad Bouffard of Round Rock Honey, brings free, interactive, and family-friendly programming to communities across Texas. Through live demonstrations and engaging storytelling, attendees learn about the essential role bees play in pollinating nearly 80% of flowering plants and how everyday actions can support pollinator health.

Complementing the roadshow, the Talking Bees Garden Grant Program provides funding to schools, community organizations, students, and faculty to build native pollinator gardens. These hands-on spaces serve as living classrooms, giving communities the opportunity to engage directly with sustainability, conservation, and environmental stewardship.

Support from H-E-B’s Our Texas, Our Future program, alongside partners including Round Rock Honey and Landscape Theory Studio, continues to drive the initiative’s growth, enabling the foundation to reach more communities and deepen its impact each year.

“This fourth year of funding is more than a milestone; it's a testament to the impact and scalability of our mission,” said Mikaila Ulmer. “We’re creating meaningful access to environmental education and empowering communities to take action.”
