Tips to Help Your Local Hive
Spring Forward, Buzz Brighter
Spring signals a return of color, life, and movement-and bees are leading the charge. March is a great month to prepare your garden for pollinators by ditching chemical fertilizers, planting native wildflowers, and providing water sources like shallow dishes with stones.
The Healthy Hive Foundation's Spring Forward campaign encourages community members to start small. Even a balcony planter filled with lavender or milkweed can become a pit stop for pollinators. We've also partnered with schools to create mini pollinator patches in science courtyards across Texas.
Reducing our reliance on pesticides like neonicotinoids is critical, but education and access are just as important. Our garden starter kits and downloadable planting guides make it easy to begin-even for beginners.
Let's make 2025 the year of the pollinator pathway. By taking steps now, we're laying down roots that will support bees (and butterflies) all year long. Because when bees thrive, everything blooms brighter.
